Powered On Live 2024 will go live tomorrow morning at 9:00am UK time, with National Grid’s Ben Godfrey set to kick off the event.
The electrical industry is continuing its journey towards net zero, while contending with numerous factors – such as the rise of intermittent renewables, higher energy bills, and the transition to electric vehicles. The agenda for Powered On Live 2024 has been specifically tailored to cover all of these issues and more.
For the first time ever, Powered On Live has split the virtual event into two distinct themes – with the first day, June 12, dedicated to the grid, while the second day, June 13, is dedicated to buildings. This gives us an opportunity to look at things both from a national and local scale, all the way down to how each and every one of us can be playing our part.
Powered On Live 2024 is being supported by Megger as a platinum sponsor, with Enersys and Socomec signing up as gold sponsors.
Over the past two weeks Electrical Review has been sharing all the details regarding each session set to take place at Powered On Live 2024. Those sessions are as follows:
June 12, 2024 – Day 1 – The Grid
- 09:05: KEYNOTE: Flexibility in focus – how new technologies are enabling us to balance the grid
- 09:35: How grid sensors can assist DSO's with high levels of Distributed Renewables Generation
- 10:05: Panel: Destination vs rapid charging – what is the priority?
- 11:05: Why microgrids aren’t just for rural developments
- 11:35: Panel: The future of the UK’s transmission network
June 13, 2024 – Day 2 – The Grid
