Ben Godfrey, Director of Distribution System Operator at National Grid, is scheduled to kick off Powered On Live 2024 with a keynote on day one.
A well-known figure within the industry, Ben heads up DSO for National Grid, a role he moved into after the company acquired Western Power Distribution, where he had worked for 11 years, and rebranded it as National Grid Electricity Distribution.
As part of his role, Ben is responsible for forecasting, capacity management and developing strategic network investment options for all four of National Grid Electricity Distribution’s licenced areas.
At Powered On Live 2024, Ben will bring his experience as an electrical engineer within the UK electrical utilities industry to outline the changes coming to the grid in the form of flexibility. During his keynote speech, attendees will learn about how EVs, energy storage, smart tariffs and even AI are changing the game when it comes to ensuring we get the right balance on the grid.
While Ben’s session is sure to be a hit, Electrical Review will have all the details regarding the other sessions and panels available at Powered On Live 2024 as we count down to the event over the next two weeks.
For those wishing to register to attend Powered On Live 2024, registrations are open now at the Powered On Live website.
