Osprey Charging has achieved a significant milestone for its EV charging network, with the company now offering more than 1,000 rapid chargers across the UK.
The company’s network has enjoyed explosive growth in the last year, with a 150% increase in the number of chargers available on its network in just 12 months. That has led to it being the third-largest chargepoint operator in the UK in terms of the number of public rapid and ultra-rapid chargers, according to statistics from Zap-Map.
While Osprey Charging has deployed its chargers in a range of locations, such as train stations and supermarket car parks, the firm has also been developing charging hubs. In fact, in 2023 alone, the company deployed 15 charging hubs at strategic locations throughout the UK – each offering six or more 300kW chargers.

He further commented on the broader implications for EV infrastructure development, “Recent findings from the House of Lords have highlighted the need to speed up the roll-out of charging infrastructure by tackling delays for funding and planning regulations, as well as the equalisation of VAT rates between domestic and public charging. Both recommendations are welcomed by Osprey as they will ultimately help deliver an improved customer experience for EV drivers.”
