jtl appoints sandra warren-smith

JTL has announced the appointment of Sandra Warren-Smith as National Delivery Director, where she will be responsible for overseeing the organisation’s regional teams, training centres, and apprenticeship programmes throughout England and Wales.

Bringing a wealth of experience in the education sector and a strong commitment to enhancing career opportunities, Warren-Smith is set to contribute significantly to JTL’s goals of providing skills development through its apprenticeship programmes.

Before her new role at JTL, Warren-Smith was part of PeoplePlus UK, serving as the Operations Director for Skills. There, she played a key role in managing skills and employability programmes, overseeing a broad team, and was pivotal in improving operational processes, system enhancements, and the introduction of new offerings. Her experience in fostering strategic partnerships and leading business improvement initiatives is expected to be a valuable asset to JTL.

Chris Claydon, Chief Executive of JTL, stated, “We are delighted to welcome Sandra to JTL as our new National Delivery Director. Her extensive experience and dedication to quality and innovation in education settings aligns perfectly with our purpose and vision. Sandra’s leadership will undoubtedly drive forward our mission of providing exceptional apprenticeship opportunities to individuals across England and Wales.”

Warren-Smith’s arrival follows the retirement of Judi Wheeler, who previously served in the same capacity at JTL for eight years, overseeing the delivery of apprenticeships, professional courses, and assessment services across four regional teams.

Upon her appointment, Sandra Warren-Smith commented, “I am thrilled to join the team at JTL and look forward to bringing the insight and knowledge that I have gained over my years of experience to my new role as National Delivery Director.”
