Megger has announced the acquisition of Vespula Ltd, a company that specialises in electrical certification in the UK.

Vespula Ltd is responsible for creating a cloud-based platform that gives electrical contractors a quick and easy way of completing and storing their electrical installation certificates. The beauty of being cloud-based is that the software works on all operating systems, including Windows, Mac, Android and iOS, both online and offline.

The cloud-based approach from Vespula allows electrical contractors to complete electrical certification on-site, while sharing those files directly with the office in realt-ime.

For Megger’s part, it notes that the Vespula software extends its solution to the electrical contract and maintenance industry, where the move to digital certification has been growing. The company says that it complements Megger’s portfolio of electrical test and measurement equipment, whilst ensuring compatibility with its range of Bluetooth-enabled multifunction testers that currently offer storage and downloading.

Simon Wood, business development manager for Megger’s European electrical market commented, “Megger are always striving to better serve our customers, and we are really excited to be able to offer this as a simple solution to certificate creation.”
