Wieland debuts new HMI ECO touch panels

Electrical Review Logo

Wieland has announced new HMI ECO touch panels, which the company says are essential for machines and systems in their use for visualisation, operation and diagnostics.

When the HMI ECO touch panels are used in conjunction with the samos PRO safety controller, they offer complete automation. This includes seamless data exchange between the visualisation software, hmiPLAN, and the planning software, samos PLAN6.

The unit offers flexible communication and seamless integration with over 40 different PLC and device manufacturers, including convenient data exchange of export and import functions.

This robust IP66 display is easily programmed via an Ethernet or USB client, while commissioning is quick – having only one project file, which is easily converted to suit each screen size.

Designed for industrial environments, HMI ECO touch panels have an extended temperature range from -10°C to 60°C on standard panels with -20°C to 60°C supplied on request.

Wieland’s HMI ECO touch panels also offer VNC (virtual network computing) functionality and comfortable operation via smartphones and tablets, further offering superb flexibility in the control and monitoring of machines, while enabling authentication of users to provide security.

As part of Wieland’s ‘MyLogo’ campaign a customised design with a company’s own logo and individual colour scheme is available.
