David Sutcliffe has been appointed as the new sector head for automotive for Siemens Digital Factory in the UK.

Following a period of rapid growth within the sector, Sutcliffe, who has been with Siemens for over 20 years, will be responsible for the development and implementation of the business strategy to drive further growth in the automotive market.

Commenting on his appointment, Sutcliffe said: “At a time when the automotive sector is undergoing a period of real change as many manufacturers shift towards the increased manufacture of electric vehicles, the sector offers real opportunity for growth. I am delighted to have been appointed to head up the Siemens UK & Ireland offering and look forward to working with our customers in this sector.  As a leader across both the automotive and digital space, Siemens is at the forefront of the technology and services needed to ensure our customers are able to capitalise on current automotive trends, both now and in the future.
