ETI seeks partners for a new energy market design scenarios project

The Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) is launching a new project to create energy market design scenarios – and is seeking partners to deliver it by issuing a request for proposals.

The aim of the project is to create a range of scenarios which will inform the development of its EnergyPath software tool that aims to produce local area energy solutions and will describe the structure of future electricity, gas and heat markets.

Tony Dicicco, ETI’s policy and economics manager for its Smart Systems & Heat programme said: “This project aims to continue to build our understanding of how the future energy system in the UK will play out.  The ETI has a lot of in house and consumer analysis which is informing our current thinking on how we can help heat the UK better; the outcomes of this project will further inform that work.”

The request for proposals will close on Friday 17 October 2014.
