EPIT, a training company in Aberdeen, offering a wide range of City and Guild certified specialist training and assessment services, has announced the launch of its new HV/LV practical demonstration module.

This facility has been constructed to enhance EPIT’s already existing range of HV/LV Safe Working Practice courses. Delegates will have hands on experience of safe isolation, testing and operation of an HV/LV network. These one and three-day courses include electrical protection and a demonstration of testing procedures to give delegates a more valuable experience.

Included in the scope of the City and Guilds accreditation is a range of competency based Hazardous Areas, Electricity at Work (EAW), ATEX, Motor Repair and various associated courses.

The EAW course is designed to identify and explain the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and is essential for anyone involved in any form of electrical work, including those who are responsible for supervising the activities of others.

A selection of Electrical Safety Regulations (ESR) courses have been developed and are being delivered to major oil companies own specifications and can be customised to suit clients particular requirements.

EPIT is also an approved Compex centre offering Ex01-Ex04 and Refresher courses delivered in their custom built unit in Blackburn, which features lecture rooms along with a hands-on practical area. These courses are nationally recognised, as directed by EEMUA, and are suitable for electrical and instrumentation technicians.
