Global research organisation Frost & Sullivan has presented a Customer Value Enhancement Award to motor manufacturer WEG, following its Best Practices Research programme.

The 2012 European Electric Motors for Water and Waste Water Customer Value Enhancement Award is a a third-party recognition of WEG’s accomplishments in supplying electric motors to a fundamentally important industry. The Frost & Sullivan Award is presented to the company which has best demonstrated excellence in implementing strategies that proactively create value for its customers by improving return on investment.

Key to WEG’s win was the launch of its new range of IE2/IE3 high efficiency electric motors, which comply with the UK WIMES (Water Industry Mechanical and Electric Specifications) Requirements. Designated the W22 range, these motors optimise performance by careful attention to their design details. They are freely available from a wide distributor network, making them quickly and easily accessible throughout Europe.
