The Chief Executive of the British Approvals Service for Cables (Basec) will speak at a worldwide conference for the wire and cable industry to be held in Paris this month.
Dr Jeremy Hodge, chief executive of BASEC, will speak on certification in the cable market and the marketing benefits of product approval.
The conference programme, from 10-12 June, concentrates on the theme of creating value and controlling risk in the wire and cable industry.
The first day will focus on creating value in the cables business and materials management in a volatile price environment.
This will be followed by a second day of parallel sessions on power cable and OEM cable, and will incorporate the KMI Fibre-optics Conference.
