BP completes massive solar installation
New businesses are powering up to go green in a multi-million pound building using a renewable energy in a project by BP Solar. The Warwickshire County Council-owned Optima Innovation Centre at Elliot Park in Nuneaton is the largest PV (photovoltaic) installation in the UK West Midlands.
In an impressive project that involves 105kWp of solar capacity, BP PowerGlaz building-integrated laminate panels have been installed on the southern facing façade of the building together with a Kalzip construction system housing 573 solar panels on either side of the east and west facing roof.
