The two-day event looks at end-user experiences in the enlarged EU, equipment design and manufacturing issues, the distributed generation perspective, the utility perspective, monitoring and automation, high and medium-voltage networks, legislation and regulation and lastly, available funding for power quality programmes.

This years presentations will include: Phil Cartwright of Areva T&D talking about Power Quality Aspects of Existing and Future Wind Farms & Distributed Energy Generation; Jacob Klimstra of Wartsila, speaking on Maximum availability of high-quality electricity being of utmost importance for modern economies; Stephanie Horton of LEM speaking about problems experienced on low-voltage underground networks, and the reasons for the problems. Carl Solver of ABB talks about the overall reliability, or availability, of a substation being of major importance for the choice of technology.
