Charging infrastructure demand unprecedented

Electrical Review Logo

Over the past five years, Electric Vehicle (EV) registrations have increased from 3,500 to 155,000 and demand for reliable charging infrastructure to support this is unprecedented.

Logic4training now has on offer an Electric Vehicle Charging Point Installer course, a qualification developed in partnership with industry specialist, Rolec.

The Electric Vehicle Charging Point Installer course will equip candidates with the knowledge and skills required to design, install, fault find, inspect and test electric vehicle charging equipment in domestic, commercial and industrial locations.  To undertake this training, candidates must have a sound practical knowledge of the wiring regulations and testing and inspection procedures.

On completion of the course, installers can appear on Rolec’s national database of EV charge point installers to receive referrals for work in their area, as well as registering for the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) grant scheme; a government initiative which provides grant funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing domestic electric vehicle charge points.
