The Eplan Forum is scheduled to take place this September in Cologne, in a hybrid format, facilitating both in-person and online participation.
This international gathering will focus on key issues such as automated engineering, machine cabling, and the integration of ERP and PDM systems.
Last year, the event attracted over 300 attendees and this year it is hoping to connect even more professionals from around the globe under the theme ‘Transformation in Engineering’.
Participants will gain insights into practical applications of Eplan software across various industries, with companies like Bender Solutions, Kaeser Kompressoren, and Red Eléctrica de España set to present.
Harold van Waardenburg, Eplan’s Director of Vertical Market Management, commented, “The Eplan Forum is the premium event for the complete automation of engineering processes. Increasing numbers of companies are focusing on eliminating manual work steps and expanding their automation in engineering. They are moving to the ‘next level,’ so to speak, in the process of automated engineering.”
The forum will explore advanced strategies for maximising automation in engineering. A significant focus will be on the standardisation of processes and how integrating Eplan data into ERP and PDM systems can optimise engineering and downstream processes.
Among the highlights will be presentations by international speakers sharing their experiences in enhancing efficiency through engineering innovations. These include:
- Red Eléctrica de España will discuss parametric engineering for national electricity supply.
- Bender Solutions will present their approach to providing customised solutions in electrical supply.
- TK Elevator, Rockwell Automation, and Kaeser Kompressoren will share insights into global standardisation, variant management, and Eplan-SAP integration respectively.
- PMS Elektro- und Automationstechnik and Winkler+Dünnebier / Hahn Automation will explore topics on economical plant system engineering and the electrification of production lines through digital twins.
