Caroline Turner, JTL

After 32 years of service, JTL Director of Policy and Relations Caroline Turner has announced her retirement from the company, effective at the end of 2023.

During her tenure, Caroline has played a pivotal role in JTL’s growth, overseeing its transformation from a fledgling training organisation into the largest provider of electrical and plumbing apprenticeships in England and Wales.

Under her leadership, JTL has achieved significant milestones, including the training of thousands of young people who have gone on to establish successful careers in the trades. Caroline’s commitment to social responsibility has also been evident throughout her career, with one of her proudest achievements being the successful completion of a project that improved conditions at an orphanage in Romania.

Chris Claydon, Chief Executive of JTL, expressed his admiration for Caroline’s contributions to the company, stating, “Caroline’s guidance, support, and leadership have been instrumental in JTL’s development and growth since its inception in 1991. Her retirement marks the end of an extraordinary career, and she will be greatly missed by the entire JTL family.”

Sir John Low, Chair of JTL, also lauded Caroline’s contributions, adding, “On behalf of the board, I extend our gratitude to Caroline for her years of exemplary service. Her dedication has helped shape JTL into the leading apprenticeship provider it is today. As we look to the future, we will continue to build upon the foundations Caroline has helped to establish, working closely with the industry to address the skills gaps and support the transition to a low-carbon economy.”
