Tamlite Lighting is now a Made in Britain member

Tamlite Lighting has become the latest member of the Made in Britain organisation, which celebrates businesses that make products in the UK.

Made in Britain first began operating as an independent, non-profit organisation back in 2013 and has since seen its membership swell to over 1,000 members. Tamlite Lighting is the latest to join the group, with the company wishing to boast about its British heritage.

Founded in 1967, Tamlite has continued to build on its success which it believes is due to having its extensive research and development, testing and manufacturing facilities based in the heart of Britain.

With Brexit looming, the Midlands-based company says there has never been a better time to buy British products and be part of an organisation which brings together the British manufacturing community, promoting members to businesses and consumers in the UK and overseas.

With 24% of construction products used in the UK being imported, new customs rules could have an impact on supplies from January 1, 2021, and Tamlite’s managing director, John Allden, argues that buying British products will lessen the impact of any disruption within the supply chain.

He noted, “We are delighted to receive accreditation as a member of Made in Britain. Every part of our business is underpinned with the British culture of quality, unparalleled service and value, and as we have grown, we have stayed committed to these pillars. They provide the foundations on which we continue to innovate and push the boundaries of lighting technology and development. Our aim is to deliver excellence at every level of the supply chain and the Made in Britain mark will help our customers identify Tamlite as a company that they can trust.”
