BGES, one of the largest independent building management system providers in the UK, has appointed a new business and governance manager.

Prior to joining BGES, Melissa Povey worked at Create Construction Limited as a quality and compliance coordinator. This means she is already highly capable to perform the business and governance manager role at BGES, where she will focus on health and safety, human resources and training.

This new appointment comes at a crucial time for BGES, with the company entering a significant period of expansion. It will lean on Povey to ensure that it has the team in place to ensure this expansion goes off without a hitch.

Povey has extensive quality and compliance experience in the construction industry, including creating new process and reporting structures, policy writing and streamlining operating systems.

Melissa Povey commented, “BGES is a company that is constantly innovating, so I’m delighted to be joining them at this exciting time in their journey. I’m looking forward to helping them develop robust business practices that are fit for their future ambitions.”

Gareth Barber, managing director at BGES, added, “We’re really pleased to welcome Melissa to BGES. The company has experienced a rapid period of expansion, and with that we recognised the need for policies, structures and procedures that would support a larger, more complex company. Melissa brings with her a wealth of experience in this area and is an excellent fit for our organisation.”
