Rohde & Schwarz today announced Demystifying EMC 2019, featuring presentations on subjects from CISPR standardisation work to BREXIT, will take place on 28 January 2019 at Silverstone. Participants will receive updates on regulations and standards, brush up on good practice in circuit design, see practical demonstrations – and IET members will be able to collect CPD points.

Now in its 5th year the Demystifying EMC seminar will feature specialist training partners and industry partners alongside Rohde & Schwarz’s own experts. The day is divided into four tracks, allowing delegates to select the sessions that they want to attend out of a total of 16 different topics.

At the event, delegates will be briefed thoroughly on current regulations. For example, Martin Wiles, Director, Strategy and Business Development of Albatross Projects will contribute an update on International EMC Standardisation work focusing on the work in IEC / CISPR. Steve Hayes, Technical Director, Aerospace PQT at Element Materials Technology will talk about “EMC Testing Medical Devices.” The vexed issue of the impact of product changes post-compliance will be considered by Mr. Michael Derby, Regulatory Engineer & Customer Service Representative of ACB Europe. “Demystifying EMC” is always highly topical and BREXIT is not ignored. Nick Wainwright, Chief Executive of Eurofins York will offer a “A BREXIT survival guide”, looking at how UK manufacturers will be affected and how they can best prepare themselves for the challenges of market access in a post-BREXIT world.

The event is free, and lunch and refreshments will be provided to all delegates.
