IT + Networks – Centers on helping senior strategists understand the implications of IT and network transformation on data centre design and architecture.
Critical Environment – Looks at the issues facing the professionals who manage the performance, efficiency and resilience of the data centre’s critical environment.
Sourcing + Delivery – A focus on helping senior IT professionals make effective global IT infrastructure sourcing decisions.
Barak Regev, head of EMEA Cloud Platform, Google
What are you going to be talking about at CeBIT?
I will share details about Google’s cloud infrastructure, our data centers’ security, reliability and sustainability, and explain how Google is making it available to all organisations.
Few people, even at Google, have entered one of our data centers. I will bring some unique details and images of our data centers and security infrastructure to help attendees get a clear view of how we build our cloud, and the benefits that cloud computing can provide to their businesses.
As with the adoption of previous technologies, there are many questions today around the cloud, its impact and benefits. We want to share our knowledge with all attendees and help educate the market about the value of the cloud. This should help with the transition to a new computing platform.
Kushagra Vaid, General Manager, Server Engineering, Cloud and Enterprise, Microsoft
What are you going to be talking about at CeBIT?
Large-scale public cloud providers face unique infrastructure challenges around data centers, servers, networks and software fabrics. To support cost-optimized global deployments and drive supply chain efficiency requires development of new technologies and processes, focusing on the building of a holistic framework for designing and supporting infrastructure at scale. The learning from this cutting-edge work is adaptable to the enterprise and private clouds. This talk will cover the innovations and developments that are driving public cloud infrastructure designs, and how these can be implemented in an IT environment to gain the same benefits and efficiencies.
The experiences and learnings from designing infrastructure for large public clouds is something unique that I bring to the conference, which will benefit the IT executives and developers at the conference.
I would like to learn more about the challenges IT and enterprises face with moving to the public cloud or in deploying private clouds, and where current technology and processes fall short in making this transition seamless.
Cole Crawford, Executive Director, Open Compute Foundation
What are you going to be talking about at CeBIT?
I will be speaking about the next chapter in modern data center efficiency and design.
There are many new technologies that have major implications on the cost per megawatt and PUE of data center infrastructure. As the executive director of the Open Compute Foundation, I can share industry perspectives on what the Foundation has been focusing on and how to best approach this brave new world.
I want to hear from companies both inside and outside the region on what I can do to guide our innovations and technologies for the next five years. I believe we are uniquely placed to inspire an industry.
