In the current financial climate it's certainly a time for ‘got-to-have' rather than ‘love to  have' tools and Stanley's FatMax VDE screwdrivers, MaxSteel VDE pliers, FatMax 1-Piece Antivibe Hammer and FatMax XL tape really are essential additions to every electrician's toolbox.

Stanley's range of insulated FatMax XL screwdrivers are some of the most robust screwdrivers available. Featuring virtually unbreakable but soft grip handles, high grade chrome vanadium steel bars and hardened tips to maximise performance, comfort and durability. A pinched waist makes it easier to carry out detailed work where precision adjustment is essential and smooth domed ends provide greater torque and faster spinning action for speed and comfort.

This insulated range is designed specifically for safe use with electrical currents too. Each individual screwdriver undergoes a strict testing process to ensure it is suitable for live working use up to 1000V a.c.

The most popular plier in the range is the MaxSteel VDE Combination Plier. It features a bi-material material handle to ensure a secure, comfortable grip making it ideal for both gripping and cutting plus a hardened blade for long-life and accuracy.  As with the screwdrivers all of the pliers are individually tested but up to 10,000 volts to all EN60900, IEC/CEI1900 and VDE0680 standards and regulations.

Stanley's FatMax XL tape allows rigid blade standout of almost four metres combined with protective  Blade Armour coating on the first 150mm of the blade, together with a Mylar blade coating throughout, making it ten times more resistant to abrasion.  Other essential design features include a 32mm width blade, making it easy to read, a cushion grip for ease of use plus an upper and lower end hook RRP: £20.43

Designed with the pro in mind, the FatMax 1-Piece Antivibe Hammer has been designed to reduce harmful vibrations being transmitted to the arm and its soft handle provides a soft grip for ultimate comfort and ease of use. It also features a solid forged head and shaft to ensure optimum strength and balance guaranteed to provide a quality finish.

The FatMax Tool Organiser's A-frame design means tools are organised in an upright position so you don't have to rummage around for the tool you need and an innovative roll down side means you have complete visibility of all tools on both sides of the bag. It is made from durable 600 x 600 denier nylon, with extra reinforcement on the friction points and has plastic feet on the bottom of the bag to protect against moisture and dirt when placed on the ground.
