How do we accelerate the transition to electric vehicles?

The upcoming Powered On: Sustainability event, scheduled for April 23, will feature a panel discussion focusing on the transition to electric vehicles.

‘Electrifying Transportation: Accelerating the Transition to Electric Vehicles’ is a 40-minute session that will explore the impact of electrical technologies on the automotive industry’s shift towards electric vehicles.

The discussion will be led by Rolf Bienert, Technical and Managing Director of the OpenADR Alliance, with contributions from industry experts including Paul Marshall, Co-Founder and CCO of Eseye, and Richard Earl, R&D Director at EO Charging.

Electric vehicles are increasingly recognised as key to achieving sustainability goals, offering the potential for reduced greenhouse gas emissions and less reliance on fossil fuels. Nevertheless, the transition presents challenges such as developing a reliable charging infrastructure, integrating renewable energy sources, and maintaining grid stability.

The panel will likely address the creation of a robust EV charging network to meet growing consumer demand. It will cover technological advances in charging systems and strategies for large-scale deployment essential for supporting the EV transition.

Of course, there’s a lot more to see at Powered On: Engineering a Sustainable Future, and Electrical Review will be here to give you the inside track on the event as we get closer.

You can find out all the details and how to register for Powered On: Engineering a Sustainable Future over on the event’s official website.
