Today marks the beginning of CPD Week, an event dedicated to continuous professional development in the electrical industry.
Kicking off the series of educational sessions is a seminar featuring a detailed discussion on Aluminium & Bi-metallic terminals, specifically focusing on cable preparation and crimping best practices.
The session will feature Mark McKeown, a Product Specialist from CEMBRE, who will join Jordan O’Brien, the Editor of Electrical Review, at 10 am. Their discussion is set to cover a range of topics, including the impact of aluminium oxide, cable preparation techniques, crimping processes in line with BS7609 standards, methods to protect crimped joints against moisture ingress, and general best practices for ensuring long-term performance of ‘palm to contact face’ connections.
This seminar, along with others scheduled for the week, is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of professionals in the field. Participants who attend these sessions will not only gain valuable insights but will also receive a certified CPD certificate, contributing to their professional development requirements.
