Former BEAMA CEO Dr Porter joins Chameleon Technology

Chameleon Technology announces appointment of Dr Howard Porter, former BEAMA CEO

Following the announcement that Dr Howard Porter would be standing down as the CEO of BEAMA, it has been confirmed that he will be joining Chameleon Technology as an advisor to the Board of Directors.

Chameleon Technology is responsible for the design and manufacture of many of the smart in-home displays offered by energy companies across the UK. Earlier this year the company confirmed that it had shipped its 10 millionth in-home display, with no signs of slowing down as the uptake of smart meters continues apace.

Dr Howard Porter will be sharing his decades of experience with the company in an advisory capacity to help bolster Chameleon Technology’s ambitions in helping consumers across the UK to reduce their climate impact by developing connected, clean and cost-effective home energy solutions.

Mike Woodhall, CEO and Co-Founder of Chameleon Technology, commented, “Dr Porter’s experience will be invaluable as an advisor to the board. His passion for the future of the UK’s electrical network, not to mention his participation in many government panels and task forces, means he has a wealth of knowledge and insight to share with us as we look to accelerate our growth. We look forward to him working closely with the senior team.”

Dr Porter added, “I am delighted to join the Chameleon Technology team to assist in their future development and expansion. My experience in consumer-focused technology will integrate well with the existing expertise of the organisation.”
