Eaton celebrates events success as energy transition accelerates

Eaton has revealed that more than 350 UK specifiers registered for its latest virtual event about Building Resilience, which took place in June 2023.

The event was one of a series that have been planned throughout the year both in person and virtually, with the next event scheduled for September 27 in London.

These events have been hugely successful for Eaton, which states that the popularity of these events reflect on the growing pressure on consultants to decarbonise their buildings and meet higher levels of safety.

Marc Gaunt, Eaton’s Commercial and Industrial Segment Manager, noted, “In the face of climate change, new legislation and higher energy costs specifiers are having to design and plan more efficient and resilient buildings.  The pace of change is accelerating and so is the technology so it is vital that we share information about the latest advances and best practices.”

The June event, which took place virtually, allowed consultants to see and take part in a series of CPD accredited presentations covering topics such as energy storage, electric vehicle charging, using buildings as a grid to manage energy and minimise costs, critical power provision and emergency lighting. The event also had a number of breakout rooms where attendees could question experts from Eaton.

For those who missed the event, you can see many of the CPD accredited webinars from the event alongside whitepapers, technical guides and examples of best practice on Eaton’s Specification Portal.

Thankfully, there will be more opportunities to catch up with Eaton later on in the year – with the next specifiers’ event scheduled for September 27 in Central London at Ruben at the Palace hotel.

Eaton has promised that the September 27 event will feature a CPD accredited presentation on the role of energy storage in commercial buildings, followed by a social event for networking.

Gaunt concluded, “With more of us working from home, we have to find new ways of keeping up to date with technology and legislation.  Our specifier portal is a learning space where we share information and where we arrange both virtual and in person events so that we can all learn from each other.

Registrations for the September 27 event are open now, subject to capacity. To register, click here.
