As it enters its fourth year of trading as an independent lighting company, Ovia has confirmed a number of changes at senior management level.

Firstly, Mike Collins is set to take on the role of Director of Operations for the lighting company, having previously been appointed Sales Director when the company was launched in 2019.

Collins has been instrumental in growing the Ovia brand and its reputation in a busy and competitive environment and has built up the 14-member sales team. His new position will allow him to facilitate the business plans for the development and growth of Ovia and to play a more proactive role in the development of the expanding product portfolio.

Joining the senior management team at Ovia to take up the role of National Sales Manager is Adrian Parry. A well-known industry figure, Adrian’s appointment follows a three-year spell as National Sales Manager with Scolmore and he will now oversee the sales function at Ovia. He brings a wealth of experience to Ovia, having spent 30 years working across many areas of the electrical industry, including the lighting sector. His previous roles include 20 years in wholesaling, 10 years in manufacturing, as well as a period within electrical contracting.

These appointments are part of an on-going commitment to invest in the Ovia brand and will enable the business to achieve its ambitious plans for future expansion and growth.

Mike Collins, Ovia’s new Director of Operations, commented, “Our sales team is key in nurturing our strong customer network. We are proud of our reputation for experienced and knowledgeable staff as well as first-class customer service and believe that in his new role Adrian will further enhance our offering and support for customers.

“The launch later this year of the fourth Ovia catalogue, puts us in a very strong position to broaden our comprehensive product portfolio. The focus now is to continue to grow the business while still meeting the demands of an evolving market with the latest lighting solutions.”
