myenergi is continuing to expand its presence across the globe, with the company announcing the opening of a new Australian subsidiary.
Best known for the zappi EV charger, which was the first to be capable of charging an electric vehicle on pure solar energy, myenergi has enjoyed explosive growth over the past few years. The company has continued to add new job roles, despite the pandemic causing many other firms to cut their staffing numbers.
The opening of an Australian subsidiary seems like the perfect fit for myenergi, with the country investing heavily in solar energy. In fact, according to the Clean Energy Regulator, one in four Australian homes have solar panels on their roof.
Pairing the popularity of solar panels with the sharp uptick in demand in electric vehicles that Australia is currently experiencing, with EV ownership reportedly increasing by 400% since 2016, and you can see why myenergi has selected to open a new subsidiary in the country.
The new subsidiary, located in Greater Melbourne, Victoria, will be led by EV advocate, expert and electrification pioneer Russell Shepherd. The products available in the market will be:
myenergi’s zappi, the world’s first solar compatible EV charger. With optional charging modes to either draw power from the grid or utilise 100% self-generated green energy, the pioneering device makes charging your car easy and eco-friendly. The system includes a supporting app that allows users to remotely monitor and easily control their charging.
myenergi’s eddi, this energy diverter allows users to maximise self-consumption of renewable energy, by using it to power pool pumps and heat hot water.
Jordan Brompton, Co-Founder and CMO of myenergi, commented, “We are extremely excited to be launching our new subsidiary in Australia. Our international expansion programme is building with impressive momentum, with subsidiaries already operational in Germany, Ireland and The Netherlands.
“As a renowned electrification expert, Russell is the perfect person to spearhead our Australian operations, bringing a wealth of experience from the EV market. We are fully confident in his ability to highlight the benefits and quality of our technologies and enable widespread adoption by EV drivers down under.”
