Omicron to hold conference on substation automation, digital substations

On September 29, 2021, Omicron will hold a conference dubbed ‘The Future of Substation Automation and Digital Substations’.

Taking place between 1:30pm and 5:30pm CEST, the Omicron digital conference is open to all and completely free to attend. Omicron says that the event will help those wanting to understand the challenges ahead, learn about next generation digital substation technologies and prepare for the digital transformation.

The need to maintain power system stability and reliability is driving the advancement of digital technologies, which creates new possibilities for optimising the ways in which power systems are designed, tested and maintained.

Focusing on the future of substation automation systems and the importance of being prepared for testing in digital substations based on IEC 61850, this short-format conference will bring together experts from the energy sector and OMICRON specialists to explore the resolute possibilities, flexibility and intelligent savings provided by smart digital technology.
