Electrical Review has announced that Jordan O’Brien will be taking over as editor of the publication ahead of its 150th anniversary.

Jordan takes over Electrical Review from Claire Fletcher, who led the publication through the pandemic and ensured its strength going forward. Claire was also editor of Data Centre Review, where she has been succeeded by Kayleigh Hutchins.

Electrical Review will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2022, with Jordan excited to take the helm at such a crucial time.

In a statement, he commented, “Electrical Review has enjoyed a storied history, having first been published in 1872. Throughout the years it has been the go-to bible for many in the industry, with prominent names such as Nikola Tesla having contributed to its pages.

“I look forward to steering Electrical Review through a new chapter in its history, with the magazine and website continuing to innovate to reach our readers wherever they are. I can’t wait to share all the big plans that we have been working on going forward.”

Jordan is no stranger to the electrical industry, having been a regular contributor to Electrical Review for the past two years. He has also worked as a successful technology journalist for almost 10 years. Those wishing to contribute to either the Electrical Review website or an upcoming issue of the magazine can contact Jordan here.
