Stanley Security has announced it will be providing its round the clock safety monitoring and emergency response management services to Blackline Safety customers across the UK and Europe.
Blackline Safety is a supplier of wirelessly connected gas detection and lone worker monitoring products. Blackline’s technology monitors for atmospheric hazards and the wellbeing of personnel working alone, whether in populated areas, indoors within complex facilities or remotely. A key part of its service is live 24/7 monitoring and wireless gas detection, helping teams working in hazardous environments by responding to emergencies in real-time and managing efficient evacuations.
Under this new partnership, Stanley Security will take over the role of safety monitoring services for Blackline in the UK, Netherlands and Belgium this month, with a further seven countries in Europe throughout 2020. Stanley Security will additionally provide backup support for Blackline’s Calgary-based Safety Operations Centre, increasing protection for the Blackline’s North American customers.
The choice of partners was due to both companies being BS 8484:2016 accredited and has made the transition of 24/7 monitoring services near seamless. BS 8484:2016 is the Code of Practice for the Provision of Lone Worker Services, which advises on best practice when seeking a solution to reduce and/or eliminate the risk to staff operating away from the ability of colleagues to provide direct assistance. Blackline Safety Europe is the only manufacturer of gas detectors to achieve this standard.
To further ensure the smooth transition of monitoring and response services, Stanley Security has established a continuous training programme for employees across Europe. The training not only ensures operatives have in-depth knowledge of Blackline’s emergency response protocols, products and features, but are kept up-to-date at all times.
