Distech Controls’ my PERSONIFY app offers personalised building control

Distech Controls has announced a new building control app called my PERSONIFY at the Energy Management Exhibition in London, with the app focusing on – you guessed it – energy management.

Like many building control apps, the my PERSONIFY app gives building owners the ability to manage all aspects of a building, whether it’s the lighting or heating, but something special about Distech Controls’ app is the ability to completely personalise the experience.

Using the my PERSONIFY app, systems integrators can easily configure and commission the lighting and HVAC controls for the building, as well as create predefined services for the building’s stakeholders via an easy-to-use interface. Building owners can then use the predefined services to personalise the app for facility/building management and employee’s needs, without the complex set-up or cost associated with an entirely custom app.

Facility Managers can take advantage of a ticketing system to increase the productivity of the building such as space utilisation, and meeting room reservations, while IT professionals can leverage the Microsoft Office 365 user login system to easily integrate into existing IT architectures and enforce cybersecurity requirements.

Other features include incident report logging in the case of a malfunctioning projector or other building situation, as well as a news function that can be utilised for internal communications such as what is on the canteen menu or external news feeds.

Simon Ward, director of sales – UK & Ireland at Distech Controls, noted, “We are delighted to be exhibiting at EMEX this year. Energy management is such an important topic and understanding how intelligent buildings can reduce energy consumption and improve occupancy comfort is a key part of the discussion. The show is a great opportunity to meet with new and existing customers and we are looking forward to showcasing our new my PERSONIFY Workplace app. We’re sure it’s going to lead to interesting and fruitful discussions on the occupant experience.”

Visitors to Stand D19 will be able to view the my PERSONIFY app at EMEX 2019.
