NAPIT will be taking part in the Dragon Boat Race at this year’s Nottingham Riverside Festival to raise money for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.
There will be 30 employees from within the company taking part in the race, including volunteers from NAPIT Insurance and NAPIT Drive. Those who aren’t competing will be heading to Nottingham to cheer on the teams.
Scheme administrator Martina Booth will also be offering glitter face painting on the day at the NAPIT gazebo, to raise even more money for the cause.
NAPIT group chief executive Mike Andrews said, “We’re honoured to be making our debut at this year’s Dragon Boat Race. This opportunity to make a difference to over 400 families by taking part and fundraising for this event is something that we couldn’t refuse. Rainbows Hospice is the only one of its kind in the East Midlands and we’re pleased that we’re able take part in this fun-filled event to help raise money for this fantastic cause.”
Nottingham’s Riverside Festival will take place at Victoria Embankment and is one of Nottingham’s largest events. Anyone is welcome to attend, and visitors can also browse the food and craft stalls and the bustling fairground.
