Legrand has appointed an energy efficiency and sustainability sanager for its UK and Ireland business.

Mitra Goodger, an experienced management consultant, will help to optimise Legrand’s sustainability and contribution to the circular economy while leading on the company’s broad energy efficiency programme. Her role will also include looking at key legislation, delivering on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and advising teams on ways to improve efficiency.

Over the past 20 years, Mitra has influenced many key energy efficiency and sustainability projects, and for the past five years, has been working for BRE Commercial Development, advising manufacturers on sustainability for specification products, environmental impact and compliance.

Mark Evans, marketing director for Legrand UK & Ireland, commented, “Mitra’s presence across the energy efficiency landscape is indisputable, which is why we are delighted to have her as part of the team to help us set and meet key targets for the years ahead. Sustainability is a big agenda but while many companies talk about their approach to being more environmentally friendly and efficient, it’s all about how this is actually put in practice.

“At Legrand, we are committed to regularly improving the way we operate to ensure our manufacturing processes and practices are sustainable and reduce our impact on the environment. From lighting control to green transformers and high efficiency busbar, we have a broad range of energy efficiency products and can advise on an array of solutions to ensure that businesses reach efficiency goals.”
