New Equaline LED linear lighting system from Thorn

Electrical Review Logo

Thorn Lighting has announced the launch of the new generation of Equaline, a flexible, modular LED linear lighting system.

The Equaline system provides a continuous row of light to provide a bold and contemporary edge to any interior, whilst the homogenous appearance creates a quality lit effect that increases visual comfort. It also offers lumen packages of up to 1760 lm per metre, colour temperature of 3,000K or 400K and colour rendering (Ra): 80. The optics provide a unified glare rating (UGR) of <19, for comfortable, compliant and high-quality light and a service life of 50,000 hours.

The Equaline system includes different lengths, shapes and optics that can all easily be configured using Thorn’s online configurator. It can create continuous straight lines, going up to three metres with no visible join, as well as L-shaped, U-shaped or square formations using corner elements. Lengths in increments of 250mm create continuous rows and special lengths of 600, 1200 and 1800mm are available to fit with standard modular ceilings.

Whatever the ceiling type, Equaline has a mounting option to suit and a framed channel makes it easy for the installer to integrate Equaline to a plasterboard ceiling. A frameless channel is also available, as well as a wide-framed version for modular ceilings, and accessories to enable suspended, surface-mounted and wall-mounted installation.

With a range of installation options and a user-friendly online tool, Equaline is designed to provide a quick and easy installation system for electricians and contractors all at a very competitive price.
