Critical infrastructure specialist Sudlows is pleased to announce it has secured a multimillion pound infrastructure contract with the global communications provider, Telefónica UK.

The project involves the design and installation of a system upgrade of Telefónica UK’s existing UPS (uninterruptible power supplies) systems with a range of modern UPS solutions and associated electrical switchgear.

This critical infrastructure project will also provide enhanced cooling capability to support the UPS operation, delivering N+N resilience and substantial operational energy savings.

Chris Dummett, commercial director, Sudlows commented: “Sudlows have been at the forefront of completing complex critical infrastructure projects, in the UK, over the last decade and this latest contract with Telefónica UK will see the company deliver a major replacement programme of resilient and energy efficient modern UPS systems throughout the Telefónica UK estate.”

Simon Wedd, program manager, Telefónica UK said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us to work with a new supplier who will bring a fantastic set of values, resources and competencies to this programme. We’ll work together to achieve a seamless swap out of equipment in a commercially viable way.”
