Cycling Minister Jesse Norman visited Brompton Bicycle factory in West London to discuss the Department for Transport’s call for evidence on cycling, which closes on 01st June. He was welcomed by Will Butler- Adams, CEO of the Greenford based manufacturer that has been producing around 45,000 handmade bikes a year since 1975.

The Minister was taken for a guided tour of the company which is a strong advocate for the many physical and mental health benefits of cycling. The Department’s call for evidence on cycling and walking in this country, which started back in March is an opportunity for people to share their views and opinions on everything from improved infrastructure to education for all road users.

The Cycling Minister also took a test ride of the new Brompton Electric, Brompton’s first venture into the fast growing e-bike market. The first electric bikes will be delivered to customers in July this year.
