Brsia has announced Dr Michelle Agha-Hossein, building sustainability engineer, is speaking at the double breakfast seminar on Managing Construction Risk – Strategies and Soft Landings – hosted by Clarkslegal and Bsria, at the Reading and London offices.

The seminars are being staged, in light of recent events, to offer practical tips and manage the risk of insolvency.

31 Wednesday January 2018, 8:00 am – 10:30 am
Clarkslegal, One Forbury Square, The Forbury, Reading, RG1 3EB

7 Wednesday February 2018, 8:00 am – 10:30 am
Clarkslegal, 12 Henrietta Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2E 8LH

The late Sir Michael Latham said: “no construction project is risk free. Risk can be minimised, shared, transferred or accepted. It cannot be ignored”.

This remains the case. Managing risk has even more significance in the current financial climate – especially with challenges facing the industry such as labour shortages and Brexit.

Soft Landings is a building delivery process which runs through the project, from inception to completion and beyond, to ensure all decisions made during the project are based on improving operational performance of the building and meet the client’s expectations. Bsria provides a range of services to help implement Soft Landings successfully throughout all stages of a project.

Legal experts from Clarkslegal and Michelle will identify:

strategies to understand and reduce risk;

how to manage your legal risks and the risk of insolvency;

the Soft Landings process from a technical and legal perspective.
