Improved zoom capability on new ESP PTZ camera

Electrical Review Logo

Leading security products supplier, ESP, continues to develop its HDView CCTV range to bring products with enhanced performance to market and the latest addition is a new 720P high definition Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) camera which offers improved x18 optical zoom capability and features a more stylish design.

PTZ cameras are equipped with a motorized mechanism that facilitates remote control of the camera’s lens, allowing large areas to be covered with a single camera.  This mechanism offers a full pan, tilt and zoom operation, whilst enabling a 360 degree rotation function and zoom lens to deliver exceptional image quality, making them ideally suited for commercial applications where detailed surveillance is required.

The new HDVC18PTZ camera features a 1.3 Megapixel AHD sensor and a 4.7-84.6mm varifocal lens, which is adjustable to suit wide angle views or close up visual identification.  Designed for external use, it has an IP66 rated housing to protect it from dust and rain and offers up to 50m IR night illumination.  The camera can be controlled by ESP’s PTZ controller, by DVR or by App.  It comes complete with 2 amp power supply.

Easy and secure installation is central to the products’ design and several mounting options are available, allowing an installer to adapt to the end user’s specific site requirements.
