Expanded portfolio – Tridonic

Electrical Review Logo

Tridonic has expanded its product portfolio in the Tunable White range with the addition of a square TALEXXengine QLE PREMIUM LED module, which has been designed specifically for offices, educational establishments and healthcare facilities.

Surveys have shown that light has a serious effect on productivity during the day and that the adjustment of lighting can alleviate mood swings, whilst generally improving the well being of people who spend many hours every day using artificial light. Tridonic’s Tunable White Area range is a square lighting solution, available pre-calibrated that helps alleviate this problem by providing optimum light quality and a high colour consistency.

The TALEXXengine QLE PREMIUM LED consists of four square LED modules each with a luminous flux of 1250 lm and one low-profile LED driver with a one4all interface (DALI Device Type 8, DSI, switchDIM, colourTEMPERATURE) and an output of 75W, achieving a system efficiency of more than 130 lm/W.  Due to the calibration, the colour temperature can be set dynamically between 3000K and 6000K, with the luminous flux kept constant.  In addition, the system can be dimmed from 100 to 10% without a change in colour temperature, which provides an excellent system colour tolerance of MacAdam 3.
