When it comes to lighting for the retail sector, Megaman has introduced new Perfect White LED technology that promises to make whites whiter and enhance colours. The latest LED lamp and the recently launched fixtures from Megaman provide an unbeatable combination for showing merchandise to its best advantage.
Carlo is a new scoop fitting that offers a real alternative to halogen and metal halide lighting for retail applications. Fully integrated, using Tecoh RDx modules (up to 4500 lumens), Carlo is recessed and easily adjustable to provide precision focussing that puts the light exactly where it is required.
Carlo is available with Megaman’s Perfect White technology so called because it enhances textiles, bringing the whites to life and accentuating colours. Offering superb efficacy and high energy efficiency, Megaman‘s Perfect White utilises a special phosphor coating which introduces violet light with a peak at 410nm in the near visible, non-harmful part of the spectrum – also found in natural sunlight – to provide an output that closely mimics the effect of natural daylight on white objects. Additionally, the violet element within Megaman’s Perfect White technology, leaves the rest of the spectrum unchanged – so other colours maintain their vibrancy too. The violet just excites the FWAs, producing a ‘Perfect’ white finish that not only makes the product leap out from any background but increases contrast.
CE certified, Carlo has an ultra-flexible 45 degree tilting angle with low glare for enhanced visual comfort. Available in white and silver, the luminaire is supplied complete with an external driver but can be modified for dim, non-dim and DALI operation.
Megaman has also introduced high performance integrated LED downlighters, Vito and Siena. Vito is a fully integrated, recessed, adjustable LED downlight that offers excellent energy saving solutions and performance in retail applications, also using Perfect White technology. Vito is suitable for Tecoh RDx modules (4100 to 5100 lumens) and provides an ideal replacement for metal halide lamps up to 70W. Easy to install with standard cut out sizes, the gimbal design allows for multi directional tilting and focus to provide flexible illumination for any retail application with perfect results.
Siena is compact no external driver and easy to install/maintain, delivering high efficiency luminous output which produces more light compared to conventional plug in tube downlighters.
The Siena range comprises dimming and non-dimming recessed downlights, with dimmable downlights available in adjustable 8W circular and 8.5W square variants to
provide multi-directional tilting for precision light control. The 8W version also uses Megaman’s new Dim to Warm technology – emitting a warmer light when they are dimmed from 2800K to 1800K, simulating the characteristics of incandescent and halogen lamps. Non dimming Siena downlights are also available in 12.5W, 20.5W, 35.5W, all of which are IP44 rated.
Both fixtures are CE certified, offer up to 50,000 hours of perfect illumination and come with Megaman’s 3 year warranty.
