The ECA has appointed Helen Atkinson to the newly created role of director of member services.

Atkinson will be responsible for the ECA’s marketing and customer services functions and will oversee the ECA’s network of regional teams, reviewing and developing their offering to members where necessary.

She joins the ECA from the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), where she was director of strategy and communications. Prior to that, Atkinson was director of client services at Corgi and membership services director at BTS Ltd and her career has also spanned house building, local government, technical publishing and consultancy work.

Steve Bratt, ECA Group CEO, says: “At such a crucial time for the industry, we’re looking to evolve how we engage with our members and Helen’s expertise in this area will be invaluable. She has an extensive knowledge of the industry and her experience in the world of client relations will, I’m sure, benefit ECA and its members as we continue to help them grow their businesses.”

Helen Atkinson says: “I’m delighted to be joining the ECA. As the industry emerges from one of the toughest recessions in living memory it is important that the ECA has a proactive approach to supporting members on the issues that really matter. My aim is to build on the good work the ECA has already achieved to create an essential and compelling service for members.”
