The world’s most comprehensive lighting event – and it’s all free!

Electrical Review Logo

From energy-saving controls to dramatic architectural light fittings, whatever your interest in lighting, you’ll find it at LuxLive, ExCeL Lon-don on 19-20 November.

LuxLive is almost upon us: the biggest lighting event the UK has ever seen. And with 5,000 square metres of innovations and no fewer than five theatres of engaging talks, presentations and debates, there’s something for everyone. And best of all, it’s all free if you register.

As you’d expect, the big names will be out in force and will have a massive presence at the show, which attracted over 6,500 visitors last year. Philips, Osram, iGuzzini, Tamlite, Erco, Lumenpulse AlphaLED, Megaman and Kosnic will be joined by up-and-coming players with hot kit.

There’s something for every lighting application as well as many world-firsts. So for instance, if you’re interested in LED replacement lamps, check out Philips, Kosnic, Havells Sylvania, Megaman, Aurora and Soraa. For designer luminaires, check out the latest ranges from iGuz-zini, Wila, Erco, Concord and Microlights. For LED retrofit luminaires for office, retail and outdoor there’s Tamlite, Aurora, Thorlux, Vestel and Luxonic.

For wireless controls, visit Rako, Helvar and Harvard. For architectural lighting controls see Nicolaudie, Artistic Licence, Hamilton Litestat and Pharos. For street lighting and outdoor innovations, there’s Abacus, Holophane, CU Phosco, DW Windsor, Harvard, Kingfisher, AEC and Orange-tek. Emergency lighting is covered by Thomas & Betts, P4, Mackwell, Luxonic and Tamlite. It’s not all LED, either: you’ll be able to learn about induction lighting technology on the QL Lighting stand.

The extensive programme of free talks at LuxLive has been divided into the key sectors that are feeling the effects of the LED revolution. Lighting experts will be taking an in depth look at some of the best exemplar projects, drilling into the key technologies and debating the is-sues in that sector in dedicated panel discussions. And all the events focusing on any one sec-tor will be on the same day, to create a must-attend day’s programme packed with content that’s relevant to you.

In addition to these, there’ll be streams on OEM issues, such as warranties and a dedicated theatre for designers.

The organisers believe that the best way to learn is by enjoying yourself. So they’ve created two stunning arenas on the floor of the show which will have a series of interactive content hosted by some of most engaging and informed personalities on the lighting beat, including tech experts and team Lux.

It’s a rolling programme, so whatever time you rock up, there’ll be something engaging and interactive. See the full programme at www.luxlive.co.uk for some of the features to which this in-the-round theatre will play host. And here’s just a few of our top programme picks:
