Electrical Review Logo

ABB has published an updated version of it 128 pages Motor Guide; the most requested electric motor publication from the company in the UK during the past decade.

Specifically for low voltage electric motors – operating at less than 1,000 V, with maximum 1,000 kW – the guide covers the standards, designs, configurations and general information about installation and maintenance.

The guide targets all motor end users, from design engineers through to maintenance staff, and covers issues such as dimensioning, energy efficiency, mechanical and electrical protection and noise.

The guide is available from www.abb.co.uk/energy or can be requested in printed format by sending an e-mail to [email protected]

Energy efficiency of electric motors is addressed using the latest standards from around the world including IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), CENELEC (the European Committee for Electromechanical Standardisation) and NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association).
