Software keeps street lights connected in North West

Electrical Review Logo

The latest internet hosted software from Yotta is helping to keep highways across the North West of England illuminated at night. Mayrise Street Works and Mayrise Highways are being used by Jones Lighting who connect tens of thousands of street lights and illuminated signs to the electricity network each year. The hosted software is helping the Lancashire based electrical contractor to manage new connections and repairs for an unmetered connections contract on behalf of Scottish Power Networks.

Yotta’s Mayrise Street Works and Highways systems allow Jones Lighting to communicate with local highways authorities, comply with current legislation when working on the public highway and provide detailed reports to their client. The contract with Scottish Power Networks includes electrical connections, and repairs to faulty cables, for street lights, illuminated signs and bollards, telephone kiosks and bus shelters, for example.

The Yotta systems are being used to manage all new connection and repair works that impact on the public highway.
