Industrial manufacturer Eaton has published a white paper examining what effect Part L2 of the Building Regulations has had on the measurement of energy consumption in non-domestic buildings.
The white paper, entitled Electrical Power Management: The impact of Part L2 of the Building Regulations, is written by David Pitt, product marketing manager for power distribution components, Eaton, and looks at the key concerns that have driven the implementation of Part L2, the regulations themselves and the metering solutions that have subsequently been developed. Rising energy prices and an increasing awareness of climate change and global warming has led to the international community taking steps to address these concerns over the last few years. The desire to keep energy costs down and for companies to reduce their carbon footprint has prompted a series of initiatives that reward businesses who actively put measures in place to reduce their energy usage.
