Legrand integrates Cablofil in to cable management business

Legrand Electric has announced that it will integrate its cable management businesses as of 1 April 2013, leveraging the strength of its leading Swifts, Salamandre and Cablofil brands to provide a complete cable management offer.

Cablofil wire mesh cable tray will join Swifts cable ladder and cable tray, and Salamandre distribution and lighting trunking to become a specialist range within Legrand’s existing cable management business unit. The move will enable a single sales team, led by sales director, Jeff Platt, to recommend the best cable management solutions for each project from a complete product portfolio.

The changes include the closure of Cablofil’s Sutton Weaver site, with orders for all three ranges being processed by a dedicated customer service team at Legrand’s West Bromwich logistics centre from 1 April. Quotations and technical support will also be centralised at Legrand’s Birmingham site following the integration of Swifts, Salamandre and Cablofil and the four specialist sales teams across the UK and Ireland (North, South, Ireland and key accounts), will cover Legrand’s entire cable management offer.
