Power engineering specialist EA Technology is one of five companies shortlisted for the Made in Britain category of the Growing Business Awards, hosted by Real Business and the CBI (Confederation of British Industry).
The award is for the UK company which is best at ‘developing technically excellent, innovative, world-beating products and technologies’. It will be announced on 27 November in London, at a ceremony hosted by Olympic athlete Steve Cram MBE.
Headquartered in Capenhurst, Cheshire, EA Technology has twice won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation (2007 and 2011), for its UltraTEV products, which enable power companies and major electricity users to make their systems more reliable, efficient and safer.
The company, which is 100% owned by its staff of 237, has offices in Australia, China, the Middle East, Singapore and the USA, together with more than 40 distribution partners, selling in 90 countries.
CEO Robert Davis said: “We are absolutely driven by innovation and all of our products and services are developed in-house. We are proof that British technology can be a world-beater and that marketing what we do best on a global stage is the way forward for the UK economy.”
The other companies shortlisted for the Made in Britain award are: i2O Water, Bowman Power Group, Global Personals and Trunki.
