The Energy Event, which is to be held on 11-12 September at the NEC Birmingham has unveiled the conference programme for its ESTA Theatre which is hosted by the Energy Services and Technology Association. The program is tailor-made to address the core challenges of the industry today: achieving energy efficiency. Industry A-listers will congregate to share their boardroom strategies and industry best practice to achieve efficiency across a wide variety of sectors.
Richard Hipkiss, chairman of ESTA; Sarah Beacock, professional affairs director from the Energy Institute and Kevin Jackson, development manager from the Inenco Group will be helping delegates ‘Put the ‘management’ into energy’. In this session they will be discussing the practical implementation of ISO50001 energy management systems and registering as professional energy consultants. They will also deliver a procurement masterclass.
One focus of this conference theatre is ‘Using technology to save energy’. Directors from leading companies will be providing their insight into power distribution efficiency, wireless energy management systems and modern lighting controls. Industry leaders from t-mac Technologies, Wilson Power Solutions and Trend Control Systems will be sharing their knowledge on achieving energy efficiency though their presentations on ROI of energy management, voltage optimisation and sustainable energy savings.
Another key focus of the conference theatre is on ‘Achieving savings with energy performance contracts’. Leading energy procurement experts will be presenting their expertise on the energy performance strategies they use to achieve savings. The compelling seminars include: ‘Energy performance contracting and the low carbon environments’; Financing and funding methods for energy efficiency’ and ‘Closing the business case: independent measurement and verification’. Dylan Crompton, head of private sector sales from British Gas Business; Dr. Hilary Wood, director of EEVS Insight and Minesh Patel from ENER-G Combined Power will be talking about: ‘Delivering your carbon targets and improving working capital’ and ‘Closing the business case: independent measurement and verification and the benefits of 3rd party investment in energy technologies’.
Using energy consumption data to identify, achieve and verify savings will also be discussed at length in this conference theatre. Three seminars will be presented under this topic: ‘Achieving a return on investment with your energy management system- the top techniques to save you money, fast’; ‘Measuring Instruments Directive: the billing regulation explained in plain English’ and ‘Carbon Saving Projects: the measurement and verification of savings’.
The exhibition will sit alongside two other events: The Renewables Event –a showcasing renewable energy technologies and RWM in partnership with CIWM. Between them, the three events will cater to the needs of 20,000 energy and environment professionals from across the public, industrial and commercial sectors.
