High standards for new Acute Hospital

Electrical Review Logo

Prysmian’s FP Plus, with enhanced Insudite insulation, cables were used exclusively for the fire system installed in the New Acute Hospital for the Southwest in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

Since the project began in 2009, approximately 100,000 metres of cabling has been installed by Dowds Electrical contractors, connecting the extensive fire alarm system and other life safety systems such as Smoke Fire Dampers throughout the building.

Prysmian’s FP Plus with enhanced Insudite insulation provides a combination of rigidity and flexibility that is already well established with the market leading FP200 Gold cable. This feature results in an easy installation for an enhanced cable whilst maintaining full compliance with test requirements and UK standards which includes both Basec and LPCB approval.
