Dent Instruments, a specialist in the design and manufacture of power and energy measurement instruments, announced the introduction of the ELITEpro SP recording power meter. The ELITEpro SP adds many new high performance features to its highly popular portable metering product line. The ELITEpro series products have earned a solid reputation among energy professionals as a versatile, dependable, and easy-to-use energy datalogger for single and three phase electrical metering projects.

Chris Dent, president of DENT Instruments said, “The next-generation ELITEpro SP instruments will provide users with the same reliable, user-friendly metering experience they came to expect from the ELITEpro. This latest product features increased memory, higher sampling speeds, standard line power operation, and fast USB downloads. The ELITEpro SP also offers some power quality features such as the ability to view in real-time voltage, current, and power waveforms and calculate harmonics to the 63rd order. It also works with a broad range of CT types, including the Rogowski-coil flexible current transformers is a major feature advantage over similar products in the marketplace. “

The ELITEpro SP requires no external power and can work on voltage services ranging from 80-600V. DENT’s patented PhaseChek circuitry includes a 3 LED indicator display that confirms proper CT to phase installation—greatly reducing set-up time. The ELITEpro SP features an 8MB non-volatile memory for extended recording sessions and user-defined recording intervals as short as every second.

The ELITEpro SP can be mounted anywhere with its magnetic back and is small enough to be secured inside the electrical panel.

The Windows-based ELOG software package is used to program the meter, display metered values, and retrieve and analyse the collected data. ELOG graphically displays recorded data, performs analysis and facilitates automatic remote data collection. Data is also easily exported to popular spreadsheet and database programs for additional analysis.
